Good health and healing include the mind, body and spirit. ANTHC's Behavioral Health department works with tribal health organizations throughout the state to help build stronger Alaskans and healthier communities. Through training, education, and coordination with our partners, we collaborate to address community health priorities such as:
Proclamation by the President that May is National Mental Health Awareness Month.
"In recognition of National Mental Health Awareness Month, ANTHC's Behavioral Health department is shining a light on mental health. Nearly, 1 in 4 Americans, about 60 million, experience a mental illness each year. ANTHC employees, to show your support, wear a "Shine a light on mental health button on May 22nd and 29th." Buttons will be available later in May.
