ANTHC's HIA program is actively seeking funding to conduct an HIA of the proposed Donlin Creek Mine. ANTHC will undertake this work through direct partnership with the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC).

January 2010

The EPA passed its Record of Decision (ROD) for permitting related to the Red Dog Mine Aqqaluk extension project. This includes an extended National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for mine-related discharge, and is found here, with a background permit fact sheet here.

The EPA also prepared responses to all public comments received for the FSEIS. That document, with a number of EPA responses relevant to Human Health comments, is found here.

October 2009

The EPA released its Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (FSEIS) for the Red Dog Mine Extension Aqqaluk project. The document can be downloaded here, and HIA topics are found in Chapter 3 (pgs. 239 - 264) and Appendiz E.
