World AIDS Day 

December 1, 2013 is World AIDS Day Day (WAD). It is a day to focus on HIV and AIDS Awareness and the impact it has on the world.

At the Alaska Native Medical Center, we will be hosting an awareness event by the gift shop. Please join us and support awareness in our community on December 2nd,  between 10am - 2pm.

February 18th, 2014 from 8a-9a we will present the second webinar in our series A Close Look at Clinical Care of the HIV Patient: Treating Early HIV. Please save the date and look out for the registration!

2014 Clinical HIV Update will be held on May 28-29th, 2014 at the BP Energy Center in Anchorage. Additional information and registration to be announced

Early Intervention Services

Early Intervention Services (EIS) provides continuum of primary care to HIV/AIDS patients; counseling, testing, referral; HIV/AIDS awareness; medical evaluation/provider consults and clinical care; other primary care services; facilitated referrals and partnership with other health care services.

EIS coordinates services with regional sites in Bethel, Fairbanks, Juneau and Sitka.  EIS regional (or Hub) site coordinators provide case management and coordination of primary care services to clients living in rural areas. 

HIV/AIDS Education and Training

HIV/AIDS Education and Training Department funded by Northwest AIDS Education & Training Center (NWAETC), and collaboration with ANTHC-EIS provides statewide training for tribal/non-tribal clinicians and other providers associated with HIV medical care and treatment.
