DS combine narration, images, sound, video, and technology to create a short movie. Participants give voice to their passion and Digital Storytelling participants.meaningful experiences as they exercise their power to write and create their own personal narrative. Through digital storytelling people are empowered to be the storyteller and the teacher.

Additionally, DS provides an opportunity for participants to acquire and demonstrate technology skills, using multimedia tools that are often free and accessible via the internet. DS gives participants access to develop their own media messages for health or wellness, which are relevant to their community.
