Cheryl Skiffington, CCA, CPC
Patient Financial Services Consultant

Cheryl has worked in healthcare for over 34 years in Alaska.  She holds both  AHIMA and AAPC coding certifications.  She taught coding and billing at Charter College in Anchorage for 7 years.  She works for the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium's Business Resource Center as a Patient Financial Services Consultant.  Besides training in the Alaska Tribal Health System, she performs revenue cycle analyses and manages a department that provides statewide business office support in coding, auditing, RPMS data entry and billing.  

Josephine "Jo" Kauffman
Principal Medical Billing Specialist
Jo has worked in the medical field since 1984. She started out as a receptionist in the private sector, and in 1988 started with a new clinic that was Medical/Dental and was there for twenty years.  She was positioned as a manager and covered all the billings.  Her favorite pass-time is four wheeling with her granddaughter on my CanAm 550 and going into new and unexplored terrain.       

Nichole Snow, CPC
Outpatient Coding Specialist
Nichole was born in Edmonds, WA and moved to Anchorage in 1994 to learn more of her family heritage. In 2006 she graduated from Career academy as Valedictorian and Alpha Beta Kappa in Medical coding and Billing. Nichole started working for the BRC as a Data Entry Tech. She passed her coding certification on Aug 8, 2009. Nichole plans to pursue her interests in working with the native community and education in coding.  

Janice started at ANTHC in September of 2009. She was born in Salinas, California, moved to Anchorage in 1991 and has been living here ever since. As part of her accomplishments, she recently completed an A.A.S. Degree in Medical Administration with Concentration in Medical Coding and Billing. Her favorite activities include spending time with friends and family, cooking/baking, and photography.  

Marilyn Neck
Data Entry Technician
Marilyn started working for ANTHC on October 2009. She was born in Bethel, AK and raised in the village of Nunapitchuk. She attended Charter College and received an AAS degree in Medical Administration with Concentration on Medical Coding and Billing. She is bilingual, Yup'ik and English.  

Yvonne R. Tanape
Medical Billing Specialist
Yvonne started working for ANTHC in February 2003. In January 2010 she completed her AAS in Medical Administration with Concentration in Medical Coding and Billing at Charter College. Yvonne started in the BRC as a Data Entry Technician and has moved up to a Medical Biller. Yvonne spends her time away from work with her children and family.
