Behavioral Health Aide Working Material

Alaska tribes have seen the success of the Community Health Aide Practitioner/Program (CHAP) and CHAP certification board as a health care delivery system for Alaska. Tribal health directors have directed the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) to use these programs as models and links to train and deploy behavioral health care providers.

ANTHC is working to support the development of an Alaska-wide village-based behavioral health services system that is tribally directed to meet the needs of Alaska Natives.
