Policy Information Development and implementation of the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium's tobacco-free workplace policy was a multi-year process from inception to implementation (2004-2006). Evaluation of the policy, which began during policy development and remains an ongoing commitment, has revealed continual policy impact. It is our hope at ANTHC that health care facilities within the Alaska Tribal Health System also adopt tobacco-free policies. Included here are tools that may be used to assist in the process, including example policies from various facilities and sample surveys that may be used in evaluation processes. This is ANTHC's Poster for creating a tobacco-free workplace. It includes information about Employee Attitudes and Tobacco Use Observations, as well as a timeline. You can find ANTHC's tobacco free workplace toolkit here. You can also find the State of Alaska's tobacco free healthcare facilities toolkit here.
