To strengthen the Alaska Tribal Health System’s financial stability and capacity for sustainable growth, through increased public and other third-party reimbursement for tribal health care services.  (Note: Refers directly to ATHS Strategies F1 and F2).

    II.      Objectives

·        Identify tribal health financing opportunities and challenges.

·        Develop common strategies for improving tribal health organizations’ financial systems.

·        Create a single voice to advocate for improved state and federal government financing policies and reimbursement procedures for the tribal health system.

·        Provide the tribal health organization membership to and designate the Chairperson of the Medicaid Task Force, which is the partnership forum for working with the State of Alaska Department of Health & Social Services’ Medicaid Program on Medicaid policies and procedures for the tribal health system.
