Government Performance Results Act (GPRA)

The Indian Health Service (IHS) now includes Government Performance Results Act (GPRA) data in its financial decision making. Health managers need to demonstrate effective use of funds. The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) offers the following services at minimal cost to help tribal and IHS RPMS (Resource and Patient Management) facilities provide quality data.

GPRA Training

What is GPRA Training?

An up-to-date overview of the most important IHS annual measures, laws, and reporting requirements. Participants will develop an understanding of GPRA significance, how IHS measures outcomes, and how local staff contributes.

Who benefits?

  • EVERYONE! Patients, providers, medical records, pharmacy, lab, nurses, data entry, finance, executives and administration
  • Tribal organizations especially benefit as they prepare for the FY07 Office of Management and Budget (OMB) evaluation

Training methodology:

  • Separate, specialized sessions for physicians and mid-levels, nursing, medical records/data entry and other staff
  • Actual IHS reports used to illustrate GPRA process
  • Board/executive sessions available
CRS Hands-on Training
Clinical Reporting System (CRS) is a module of RPMS that IHS uses for GPRA reporting of clinical indicators. CRS hands-on training is available in conjunction with DQ Assessments and GPRA training, or by itself. CRS allows both providers and management to easily track clinical care and performance.
Specialized, Facility-Specific Clinical Reports

Detailed, in-depth analysis of clinical indicators from your facility with optional on-site presentation is available. Benchmarks are provided to easily identify stellar performance—as well as opportunities for improvement.
