The ANTHC Health Statistics department is the officially recognized liaison between Alaska tribes and the Indian Health Service (IHS) Headquarters Program Statistics Division and the IHS Information Technology Support Center (ITSC). Requests for IHS Standard Codebook changes must be submitted through the Alaska Area Statistical Officer, who then forwards requests to add new facility, clinic, provider and community codes, as well as requests to change or delete existing codes.
