The hospital monthly inpatient census data is taken from the Monthly Report of Inpatient Services-IHS Hospitals (Form HSA-202) that documents inpatient activities from six tribal hospitals. This data is entered monthly into an electronic database and it is used as source data for the inpatient activity tables in the annual Statistical Summary of Workload. The hospital census data is also sent to the Indian Health Service (IHS) Headquarters Program Statistics Division.

Six Alaska facilities report inpatient activity on the HSA-202 form:
