Alaska Native Medical Center

ANTHC co-manages the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC), which supports specialty medical care for the Alaska Tribal Health System. ANMC operates a state-of-the- art, 173-bed hospital that provides comprehensive medical services to Alaska Native and American Indian people. ANMC was Alaska’s first Level II Trauma Center and shared the American Hospital Association’s Carolyn Boone Lewis Living the Vision Award with the Alaska Tribal Health System.

ANTHC and Southcentral Foundation jointly own and manage ANMC under the terms of Public Law 105-83. These parent organizations established a Joint Operating Board to ensure unified operation of health services provided by the medical center.
