As Alaskans, we all have unique and positive ways we celebrate our physical and mental well-being. In April, ANTHC is hosting a Celebrating Our Physical and Mental Well-being Photo Contest. Enter your photos for a chance to win Visa gift cards!

Submission guidelines

Alaskans of all ages are invited to share photos, images and artwork that reflect how you celebrate positive physical and mental well-being during challenging times through one of the four actions:

  • Self-care
  • Connecting with others
  • Creating healthy routines
  • Staying positive and incorporating humor

Submit your image along with a 2-3 sentence description using the form below by April 30 at 11:59 p.m. Here are some examples to help you tell us about your submission(s):

  • This is what I do to care for myself.
  • This is how I connect with others.
  • This is an activity I do to create a healthy routine.
  • This is how I stay positive and incorporate humor.
  • These are the places where I feel like I belong.
  • This is an activity that makes me feel.
  • This is something that inspires me.
  • This is something that gives me hope.
  • This is how I express myself creatively.
  • This is my reason for living.

NOTE: Please do not submit inappropriate or graphic images.

How will winners be picked?

A voting period will take place May 1-7.
Come back between May 1-7 to vote for your favorite submission. The top three photos with the most votes will win prizes! First place will win a $100 Visa gift card; second will win a $50 gift card; and third a $25 gift card.

Many things can impact our physical and mental health, as there is a connection between the two. The goal of the campaign is to send a message of hope and encourage people to engage in positive ways to support their physical and mental well-being.
