Unique Primary Care opportunities in Alaska!
The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is seeking primary care providers to deliver health care services throughout the state of Alaska at various Tribal health organizations. The hub of the medical practice is located in Anchorage, Alaska with periodic rotations to regional health centers. Each rotation will vary in time and location, dependent upon regional needs and the provider’s availability.
As an employee of the ANTHC, there are opportunities for the primary care provider to deliver a wide range of health care services and procedures consistent with their skillset both in Anchorage and the regions. There are great opportunities in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with or without obstetrics, with or without emergency department coverage, and teaching in the Community Health Aide Program. Specialists at Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) are available to consult remotely or accept patients in transfer.

Cardiologist – Invasive
The Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) seeks an invasive (non-interventional) cardiologist to join our growing team of four FACC cardiologists in Anchorage, Alaska. As a Level II Trauma Center, ANMC serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people across the entire state. With over 30 specialties, we provide a full complement of acute medical and primary care services. In this role you will provide outpatient management and inpatient consults with exposure to advanced disease and challenging pathologies, including advanced valvular disease. A robust Hospitalist team allows for a predominately consultative inpatient practice. Complementing the practice, physicians provide telemedicine consults using our world renowned AFHCAN (www.afhcan.org) and manage patients at rural outreach clinics throughout the state. Contracted interventional cardiologists perform stenting procedures in our state-of-the-art Cath Lab.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; four 10-hour shifts/week; on call – 1:5 weeks; no evenings or weekends except when serving on call.
Qualifications: Completion of an ACGME/AOA residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology; BE/BC in Cardiology; willing to travel throughout the state 2-3 days at a time; collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills; culturally sensitive with a desire to serve an underserved patient population.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, four 10-hour shifts per week. There is no formal call schedule; however, primary oncologists must be available for questions after hours. Combination of outpatient clinic, inpatient consults and procedures.

Nurse Practitioner – Walk-in Clinic

The Walk in Clinic is open 365 days per year. We see approximately 50-80 patients per day, 12-20 per provider. Responsibilities include: completing comprehensive histories and physical exams; ordering and interpreting tests; prescribing medications; developing treatment plans; and educating patients/families on treatment options. Required procedures include, I&D’s, Sutures, wound care, splinting.
We are seeking Full time and Part time intermittent providers.
Work Schedule: Full Time 40 hour work week, full time staff work 2 – 8’s and 2 –12’s per week OR 6 – 12’s and 1 – 8 per pay period.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience practicing as an NP in a PICU is required.

No after-hours call for clinic. You will perform joint injections, joint aspirations and bedside MSK ultrasound is available. Our team provides six field clinics per year to other regions of Alaska, giving you an opportunity to see Alaska in all its glory!
