ANMC Patient Housing Cafe reopens for guests

June 8, 2021

After being closed for more than a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ANMC Patient Housing Café reopened on June 1 for guests staying in Patient Housing and off-campus hotel accommodations. Café hours are 7 a.m.-7 p.m. seven days a week, with designated meal service times for breakfast (7-10 a.m.), lunch (11 a.m.-3 p.m.) and dinner (4-7 p.m.).

For each meal, Patient Housing guests will have two hot entrée options to choose from. Menus are posted daily in the dining area. In between meal service times, the café has coffee, bottled beverages and limited hot and cold sundry items for sale. For the last 15 months, dining staff delivered meals directly to patient rooms three times per day.

“We are so excited to be serving our guests in the café again,” said Cynthia Davis, Area Manager for ANTHC Campus Food Services. “Our team had to shift our operations and get creative in order to continue providing meals to our guests. They are excited to be serving our guests in person again.”

Tables in the Patient Housing Café dining area continue to be spaced to allow for social distancing and are cleaned in between guests. Seating is limited to two guests per table, the patient and their escort. Guests must continue to wear masks unless they are sitting at their table eating. For the summer, the Patient Housing outdoor courtyard is also open for dining.

“It’s wonderful to see our guests ordering their meals in person in our café,” said Athena Midvag, Housing General Manager. “It feels great to start moving toward our normal operations.”

For our guests staying at the Quyana House, they will continue to receive their meals by calling the Food Services Call Center.
