2025-2026 Pathways to Leadership Program Application



Step 1 of 5 – Program Information

To complete your application, gather documents and signatures:
  • Current Curriculum Vitae or Resume
  • Leadership Program Development Plan
  • Program Time & Obligations form
  • Personal Statement
    • Introduces yourself to the selection committee
    • Describes why you applied for this program and what your plan is or how you will complete it
    • Describes a time when you faced a leadership challenge and what you did to overcome it
    • Describes what a cohort means to you, including how, if accepted into the program, you will inspire and motivate, learn from your cohort, and contribute to their learning
    • Explain how your participation and graduation from this program will benefit your tribal health community

Non-ANTHC Employees: Additional document needed for application

All of the above plus

  • Letter of Recommendation/Endorsement from current supervisor. Please keep to 3-4 paragraphs.

ANTHC Employee General Eligibility:

In addition to being Alaska Native, Native American or First Nations Tribally-enrolled members one must:

  • Be a full time employee, including designated groups of employees who work “regular full time” at 36 hours per week By Program Kick Off, September 18, 2025
  • Have been an ANTHC employee for a minimum of nine months
  • Have no corrective actions, and be in “good standing” for the past nine months
  • Have received a “Successful Performer” (or higher) on Annual Performance Evaluation or employees who haven’t received an evaluation must obtain a Letter of Recommendation from their supervisor
Non-ANTHC employee, Eligibility for Pathways

In addition to being First Nations Tribally-enrolled member, Alaska Native or Native American one must:

  • Work for a Tribal Healthcare Organization for a minimum of nine months by Program Kick Off, September 18, 2025
  • Be a current or former supervisor/team lead for a minimum of 1-year
  • Obtain a Letter of Recommendation/Endorsement from current supervisor. Please keep to 3-4 paragraphs

THO may or may not have their own requirements for Pathways applicants, recommended requirements include:

  • Have no corrective actions, and be in “good standing”, for the past 12 months
  • Have received a “meets expectations” (or higher) on Annual Evaluation

If you live outside 50 miles of Anchorage Note:

Participants are required to attend 3 in person events, in Anchorage, during the Pathways program. ANTHC Training and Development does not provide any funding for the participants expenses to attend in person events.
