Applications Now Open: 2025–2026 ANTHC Leadership Programs

We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for ANTHC’s three signature leadership development programs: Pathways to Leadership, Leadership Excellence through Advancement and Determination (LEAD), and the Alaska Native Executive Leadership Program (ANELP). These programs are open to Alaska Native and American Indian employees and are designed to build confident, culturally grounded, and capable leaders across all levels of our organization and the Alaska Tribal Health System. Application period is open until June 8.

Programs run from September 2025 to May 2026 and are built to meet you where you’re at—whether you’re just getting started or preparing for executive-level responsibility.

Pathways to Leadership

Designed for: Anyone at any stage in their career looking to build core leadership skills and confidence—no prior education or experience needed. Open to ANTHC and Tribal health organization employees.

What you’ll gain:

  • Certified Supervisor Certification (industry-recognized credential)
  • Option to earn undergraduate or CE credits
  • Tools to lead yourself and others effectively
  • Practice in self-awareness, decision-making, conflict resolution, and other areas
  • Mentorship, job shadowing, executive meetings, and community service
  • Professional growth that builds confidence—and credibility

Pathways is the largest and most diverse cohort—designed to meet you where you’re at and help you grow from there.

Leadership Excellence Through Advancement and Determination (LEAD)

Designed for: Pathways Grads, managers seeking to take their leadership to the next level. Open to ANTHC and Tribal health organization employees.

Two Tracks to Choose From:
Track 1: Alaska Pacific University

  • Earn 5 credits from APU (400-level or 600-level)
  • Ideal for those pursuing a degree or looking for graduate-level challenge

Track 2: Certified Manager

  • Earn the Certified Manager Certification
  • Focus on practical leadership, team management, and strategic planning

What You’ll Gain:

  • Practical leadership and supervisory tools
  • Exposure to strategic planning, team dynamics, and change leadership
  • Deeper insight into your strengths through personal assessments
  • A professional network across ANTHC and Alaska Tribal Health Organizations

Alaska Native Executive Leadership Program (ANELP)

ANELP is our most advanced and selective offering—limited to just three ANTHC participants per year.

What you’ll gain:

  • Earn the Alaska Native Executive Leadership Graduate Certificate
  • Graduate-level modules at APU, with credit toward an Executive MBA
  • Direct mentorship and sponsorship from ANTHC senior executives
  • Exposure to Tribal and Native Corporation leaders across the state
  • Role as a mentor and speaker to Pathways and LEAD participants

ANELP is for those ready to lead at the highest level—shaping systems, policy, and lasting change.
