Take action in May during Mental Health Awareness Month
April 30, 2025In honor of May’s Mental Health Awareness Month, ANTHC is promoting activities to turn mental health awareness into action for positive changes within our own lives and for family and friends.
Online Activity
This year, we will host an online activity for all Alaska residents. The activity will highlight four important strategies to improve mental health including: seeking help, supporting others, practicing self-care, and advocating for change. Complete the activity and take our survey for a chance to win $100 in Amazon gift cards. One entry per person, must be a resident of Alaska. To see details and enter, visit anthc.org/MHAM.
Crafting Events
The ANTHC Injury Prevention Program is partnering with Behavioral Health to host a series of in-person crafting events for patients at ANTHC Lodging at Tudor Centre. These crafting events will include an option of window charms or zipper pulls, and information about resources and services for Tribal beneficiaries. The ANTHC Lodging at Tudor Centre crafting events will be:
- Tuesday, May 6 from noon-2 p.m.
- Thursday, May 22 from noon-2 p.m.
Closing Ceremony
This year the ANTHC Mental Health Awareness Month planning team will close out this year’s monthly activities in a good way.
