This week the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium experienced a sudden change in leadership, but with the guidance of our Board and the dedication of our employees, we remain confident that our mission in service of our Alaska Native people will continue without interruption.  The Board of Directors moved swiftly to name interim leadership to ensure appropriate business continuity and we have great faith in the continued strength of the Consortium on the path ahead.

Bernice Kaigelak, a Tribal health leader from the Arctic Slope region, is our new Board Chair. “As we move into the next chapter of the Consortium, we remain focused on our mission,” said Bernice Kaigelak, Board Chair. “Thank you for the honor of serving the Alaska Native community’s health care needs with continued quality and collaboration.”

Garvin Federenko, a long-time ANTHC employee, is Acting President. “I am humbled by the Board of Directors’ faith in me for this new position. I will work tirelessly to uphold the values upon which our organization was built,” said Mr. Federenko. “I have been at ANTHC since the beginning and have the privilege to witness first-hand the amazing work our staff does every day. This transition does not change or impact any of that work. Thank you to our staff for their continued focus on providing the very best care and services to the Alaska Native people that we have the honor of serving.”
